Michael Himmelfarb is an experienced and innovative leader in the data analytics and research field. He has spent over 20 years innovating and growing businesses, products and partnerships in research, technology and Consumer Package Goods. As an Executive Consultant for Compass Operations, Michael helps brands and research suppliers better leverage data and analytics for competitive advantage. In particular, he helps brands achieve much greater value from their research and insights budgets and at a much lower cost. He currently advises numerous startups, brands, and investors on go-to-market, product strategy, innovation and investment decisions. He leverages a virtual team of industry leaders and connections with the most progressive disruptors in market research.
Before consulting, Michael held a series of leadership positions at the top global research companies, including growing a $250M+ global portfolio of Nielsen’s Consumer Insights Services. He also started and led a global innovation practice that fueled the Nielsen’s expansion in developing markets and delivered over $50M in annual cost savings. Previously, Michael held various Product and Business Development roles in startup tech companies and worked in brand management at Clorox.
Michael has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Bachelors of Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
